Dirty Little Secret Time Again!

It's Thursday which means Dirty Little Secret time again! For those new to the meme, check out Under the Covers, follow them, and then post up your own answer to this question!

These ladies come up with some toughies! The question this week is:
It's lent and time to give up your favourite things for 40 days and 40 nights (or sneak some when no one is looking!) What series of books would you have to give up, and why?

Well, I'm not Catholic so I don't have to give up anything, thank goodness! To answer the question however, I couldn't give up the Hunger Games series for 40 days. The movie comes out in 30 and I have to be able to reread the series before the movie! I'm not in too many other series right now but my friend would kill me if I didn't reread the Hunger Games before the movie! So I'll guess I'll give up Harry Potter for 40 days, I'll just have to reread that series later on! :)

What about you? What is your favorite series that you'd have to give up on? Leave me a comment and let me know!

    1. I thought about saying something like that but since my reviewing schedule is so busy anyway I don't think it will be a hardship to give up Harry Potter for the next month or so! Thanks for the comment! :)

    1. I know. I have to reread the first book at least and my friend and I are encouraging all our friends to read, finish, or reread at least the first book as well. We refuse to bring anyone to the movie who hasn't read the book! Thanks for the visit and comment!

  3. I right there with you! I can't wait for the movie either! It's going to be amazing. *sigh* I think I'm just going to end up re-reading the first book before the movie comes out, I won't have time for the whole series. Happy reading!

    1. I'm so looking forward to the movie! I think Josh Hutcherson will do a great job of being Peeta- we watched him in Journey 2 and there were so many times he was channeling his inner-Peeta in that movie! Thanks for the visit and the comment!

  4. haha great choice! I can't imagine not seeing Hunger Games until 40 days, although I don't think I'm gna go straight that weekend it comes up just cuz it might be too crazy. Giving up Harry Potter, now that I can do, cuz I've already reread it once before the last movie came out.

    Thanks for stopping by.

    1. I've reread the Harry Potter series several times and I really don't have to time to read it anyway so it's not too bad. My friend and I are planning on catching a matinee that Friday- we agreed the midnight showing would be too crazy. :)

  5. I haven't read the hunger games series, but have been hearing some great things about the books. I saw the trailer & I really like what I see, but hate to sometimes see the movie before I read the book. Good luck with Harry Potter and thanks for stopping by!

    1. The books are absolutely amazing. I didn't expect to love them as much as I do now. I really would suggest reading at least book one before the movie!

    1. I would love to hear what you think of it! The books had me gasping and having to read parts out to people because that particular part was just so good!

    1. Only for 40 days and its the middle of the semester so I'm not too concerned with missing it too much! :) Though maybe swearing it off for 40 days will make me want to read it even more....
