Teaser Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! :) Are you ready for Teaser Tuesday?

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Should Be Reading where you grab your current read, flip to a random page, and share 2 teaser sentences from that page!

The book I'm going to tease you with today is actually one that won't come out for another week or two: Losing Clementine by Ashley Ream. I got this book from a first reads giveaway over at Goodreads and I love it so far! Look for the review of this probably later this week cause it's hard to put down!

Amazon Description: In thirty days Clementine Pritchard will be finished with her last painting and her life.

World-renowned artist and sharp-tongued wit Clementine Pritchard has decided that she's done. After flushing away a medicine cabinet full of prescriptions, she gives herself thirty days to tie up loose ends—finish one last painting, make nice with her ex-husband, and find a home for her cat. Clementine plans to spend the month she has left in a swirl of art-world parties, manic work sessions, and outrageous acts—but what she doesn't expect is to uncover secrets surrounding the tragedy that befell her mother and sister. In an ending no one sees coming, will we lose Clementine or will we find her?
A bold debut from an exciting new voice, Losing Clementine is a wonderfully entertaining and poignant novel about unanticipated self-discovery that features one of the most irresistible, if deeply flawed, characters to grace contemporary fiction in years.

My two sentences from Losing Clementine are from page 195 (a random page picked by my glorious roommate) so I don't know what's happening at this point myself but a couple sentences jumped out at me:

"I wiped my sweaty hands on my dress, which had no doubt picked up the aroma of microwave burriot."

"Would it be considered a sign of aggression to knock on his window? Could he have had a stroke sitting in his cruiser? What were the odds he was in desperate need of CPR at the very moment I was tapping my thumbs on the steering wheel?"

I know that second one was a couple sentences but they just need to stay together to get the overall effect don't you think? So do these sentences whet your appetite? Looking forward to reading the book? Good! :)
